Okay, so I thought on the whole "What gets me excited" question...

Intellectual excitement:

Solving math problems--I know I'm a dork!
Watching a crochet project begin to take shape--I'll post a pic of the blanket I just finished later.
My children finally getting something I have taught them.
Making gifts /figuring out the perfect gift to buy for someone

Activities:

Softball--haven't played in a while because I just can't get into the co-ed thing. If you aren't playing to win, it's just not the same!

Board Games--well, except Monopoly

Shopping--unfortunately this is more fun when you have money to spend and we are not millionaires!

Does reading count as an activity?

I know this isn't a really long list...maybe I'm just not an exciting person! No really, my idea of a vacation is a beach, a chair, and all of Jane Austen's novels. Throw in the movies based on her novels with an unlimited supply of yarn and I'm the happiest woman alive. Does this make me dull?

You are absolutely not dull! I guess I'm a dork too because I love solving math problems!!!! Must be in the genes! We've got to find a women's league for softball and kick some butt! I'll look into that one! :)

Reading Jane Austen and watching the movies made of her books do not make you a dull person. I too enjoy sitting on the beaches (white sands of Florida over Texas grey sand), reading or watching anything Jane Austen, and I know I'm not a dull person. We should start a Jane Austen book club, like the new movie coming out. Talking about the books, the times, etc. and then comparing everything with today's lifestyles, values, etc. would be fun and interesting. Maybe next year, when I don't have to take so many hours at school.

DULL?????
Get real!
It simply means that you have too much life and when it comes to vacation you know how to slow it down.
As for the softball team - we could use some girls over here in Germany on our ATomics softball team - i'm actually thinking about joining - what a hoot...
can't you see me on the field?????
